How to Prepare and Sort your Recyclables:
Corrugated Cardboard
Viewed from the edge, corrugated cardboard looks like this:
Remove packing materials, such as foam, peanuts & bubble-wrap
Flatten boxes and place beneath recycling container
Cereal or other paperboard boxes not accepted
Aluminum Beverage Cans
Please drain completely
Aluminum & steel beverage cans are to be separated
You may flatten cans to save space
Steel Food Cans
Rinse clean
Paper labels OK
Place lid inside can and pinch end closed to keep lid inside
Newspaper
Stack in brown paper or plastic grocery bags
Loose newspaper can cause litter
Wet newspapers CANNOT be recycled
Inserts can be left with newspaper
Plastic Items - All types & colors
MUST rinse and drain containers
You may flatten plastic bottles to save space for home storage
Junk Mail - PAPER PRODUCTS ONLY
Put all junk mail into grocery sacks
Junk Mail and Magazines/Catalogs must be in separate bags
Roll Out Carts
We offer carts that are similar to a trash cart for a one time usage fee of $15.
Fill it up with bagged recyclables and enjoy the convenience of rolling it out.
